We want to come together to remember and celebrate Tony.
Tony, much loved husband, Dad, Grandad & friend, died peacefully at St Michaels Hospice on the 31st August 2023.
This was almost 6 months to the day after he received his unexpected diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. He knew that this meant he would soon be leaving us, and he faced up to this new reality with incredible stoicism, grace and bravery. When the time came, he received wonderful care from the team at St Michaels, as was his wish. He was deeply asleep, peaceful and surrounded by our love, kisses, hand holds and story telling as he departed.
Tony was kind, funny, loving, principled, and deep thinking. He was also creative, adventurous and generous. We can't quite fathom a world without him in it, but we are all intensely grateful to have known and loved him.
